Dear Friends of NYCEEC:

We are heartbroken that our dear friend and cherished colleague, Marian Weber, passed away unexpectedly on February 5, 2026. We offer our most heartfelt condolences to her family and to her many friends who loved her so dearly. She touched our lives and the lives of so many others.

Marian served as a Director of NYCEEC from 2021 until the time of her death. She was a remarkable individual full of energy, enthusiasm, and optimism. Marian joined NYCEEC after meaningful roles at other impactful organizations. While at NYCEEC, Marian played key roles in upgrading our marketing and communications efforts, leading many partnership initiatives, expanding our philanthropic fundraising, and financing transactions that supported many communities. A common thread in all these roles was her ability to form close relationships. She was smart, business savvy, and a mentor to those in the early stages of their careers. Marian’s warmth, generosity, and wisdom gave her a unique ability to connect with a wide range of individuals. She was a light in the world.

We will miss her greatly.
