Director

Matt is a Director at NYCEEC, with a focus on scaling the adoption of energy efficiency and clean energy generation within the built environment. Matt is responsible for business development activities, capital partnerships, structured financial products, and portfolio risk management.

Matt has extensive experience managing complex business, financial, and commercial real estate transactions.  Prior to joining NYCEEC, Matt was a principal development and management consultant to various start-ups, joint-ventures, nonprofits, and family offices. Previously, Matt was Vice President of Debt and Equity Finance at NorthMarq Capital, specializing in correspondent and structured real estate finance. Matt has also served as an owner’s representative, in the General Counsel’s office of a community development nonprofit, and as a research fellow at NYU’s Center for the Sustainable Built Environment. Matt is a veteran of the United States Navy and Navy Reserve, with over 10 years of service.

Matt holds a JD from New York Law School, an MS in Sustainable Real Estate Development from New York University, and a BS in Political Science and International Relations from Troy University. He resides in Brooklyn with his daughter and is active in his local community and several professional organizations.
